been feeling lost and stuck and just want to hear something good to feel hopeful again

Oooh such a difficult emotion to put into words!

I think for me it's mainly a feeling of peacefulness. Truly loving someone (and knowing they also love you back) means they have the power to bring calmness to you when they're around that not many people can. It's not what they do or anything, just their existence gives reassurance. Maybe a comforting feeling of being known but not being worried about it because you know that person is on your side? I don't know if this makes any sense 😆

you look at the other person's face and it keeps getting more and more beautiful as the connection between you deepens in different directions...at least that's what i'm experiencing at the moment. in love for the first time in five years.

1) "This feels unhinged and amazing. How did I ever get so lucky? And they think the world of me, too." Nothing is impossible and you climb to dizzying heights in many parts of your life as a side effect of loving someone so amazing because you also just want to be the best version of yourself, too. There's nothing you wouldn't do for them. They're so perfect (not in terms of flawlessness, but so close to your ideal it's as if you dreamed them into life). No gift or service is too big or too small. And they reciprocate & you wonder how you ever had it so good. And you love them entirely, naturally. They give you butterflies and you cant picture life without them. Even when things are nuts or crazy. And you do crazy things, too. But how could it be any other way but the both of you together? You both feel like you were destined. An anchor. A strong home. A powerful energy for when yours is spent. Someone so in unison with you that you barely notice how strong that is.

2) Quiet. Calm. Warm. Soft. Loving. Accepting of their crap. Understandimg of their mistakes. Less so quick to anger and if it comes, quick to recover. You also can let yourself loose a bit, warts and all. You're suprise when they don't care and love you anyway. They don't go. You thought they'd leave and they didn't. You can never express what that means. Physically, you're so attracted to them to. And they're just as into you as well. You forget that last bit and it's always a nice surprise each time. They understand and fulfil your needs and you understand theirs and do that - when before such tasks would have made you invite a revolution. Hey - it's love, I guess.

3) Immediate, powerful attraction. And it's mutual. And beyond just lust, that's there too. But you see everything. You match and don't even need to speak it. You know in 5 seconds. Their energy is harmonious and they're the absolute most beautiful thing you've ever seen in your entire fucking life. It's an hour long business meeting and you both can't stop looking at each other. The gaze you hold for 5 seconds is more powerful than an eternity of climaxes and you see them feel it. You'll never see each other again in ten minutes time. But you knew, God you both knew. It's beyond just attraction. You know they are everything, as do they you. What the hell was that.

Some of the different types of ways I have felt being in love at various times in my life.

I'm not sure about Love, but i'll tell a story from my dad. He had his mistress and my mom, and at one point after the divorce, something went sideways with the mistress, and he got the news on an airplane ready to take off, and he fought his way off that plane. Later as he fell under the limitations of Degenerative MS, His mistress stayed with him to the end (and maybe assisted his final moments) I don't really like her, but i can say that this is enough evidence of love they have for each other.
